Week 7 Waiver Targets
Fantasy Football Waiver Adds To Consider
By: Tony Kneepkens (@tonytk44)
These are the top players to consider adding from waivers this week. Unless otherwise noted, all players below are available in greater than 50% of Yahoo leagues (as of Sunday evening).
Week 7 teams on bye: Bears, Cowboys
QB Streaming Special
Matthew Stafford, LAR, Week 7 vs LV
An “Early Waiver Add” recommendation from Sunday morning; Stafford and the Rams are coming off of their bye and reports are they could be getting star WR Cooper Kupp back from injury. The Raiders have given up 66 points to the Broncos and Steelers the past two weeks.
Low-priority add. Stafford is a fine streaming option this week.

RB Pickups
Tyrone Tracy, NYG, Week 7 vs PHI
Tracy has back-to-back fantasy-relevant performances in two completely different game scripts. The rookie fifth-round draft pick is a converted college WR and showed that skill set playing from behind against the Bengals with a 6/57 receiving line. While he was less effective on the ground than the previous week, he handled 17 carries and scored a goal-line TD.
High-priority add. While he still seems likely to lose some touches when teammate Devin Singletary returns from injury, Tracy has now done just about everything we want to see from a RB the past two games. He’s had a 100-yard rushing game, he’s scored from a yard out, and he’s shown ability in the passing game. Tracy should be rostered in all fantasy leagues.
40% - 60% of FAAB.
Ty Chandler, MIN, Week 7 vs DET
Chandler has been written about in several Daily Dose waiver columns including Mike’s most recent “Early Waiver Adds” column. His teammate, RB Aaron Jones, left their Week 5 game with a hip injury before the team was on bye last week.
Medium-to-high priority add. Chandler is, at worst, the primary backup RB on a 5-0 Vikings team. If Jones happens to miss a game with his hip ailment, Chandler would be a fantasy spot starter against the Lions. If Jones misses a longer period of time, the schedule really opens up (at Rams, home vs. Colts, at Jags) for the Vikings offense after that.
10 - 20% of FAAB.
Sean Tucker, TB, Week 7 vs BAL
Tucker, a second-year UDFA, had a breakout performance complementing his rookie RB teammate Bucky Irving in Tampa Bay’s 51-27 blowout at New Orleans last week. Tucker handled 17 touches for 192 scrimmage yards and a pair of TDs. Irving had 100 scrimmage yards and a TD of his own. Both backs handled plenty of touches with starter Rachaad White out with a foot injury.
Medium-priority add. Irving has had a good start to his rookie year and seems likely to maintain, or expand, the role he’s had so far. White has always been an effective pass-catching back and could return from injury to make this a messy three-man rotation. I still think Tucker is worth a speculative add to see if White’s injury persists or if he continues to be schemed touches in this explosive TB offense after last week’s breakout.
5%- 15% of FAAB.
Some additional lower-priority RB adds to consider:
Isaac Guerendo (SF) - Had a 10/99 rushing line after Jordan Mason left with a shoulder injury. Mason is reportedly day-to-day. CMC remains on IR.
Kimani Vidal (LAC) - Caught a TD in his season debut. Could carve out primary backup RB status behind J.K. Dobbins.
Braelon Allen (NYJ) - At worst, the Jets primary backup RB with opportunity to steal some goal-line touches.
Blake Corum (LAR) - Played as the Rams’ primary backup RB for the first time in Week 5. Potential for huge contingent upside behind Kyren Williams.
WR Pickups
JuJu Smith-Schuster, KC, Week 7 at SF
JuJu had a huge 7/130 game in prime time and then promptly went on bye, leaving him available in the majority of Yahoo leagues. His WR teammate, Rashee Rice, has been placed on season-ending IR.
High-priority add. With the current makeup of the Chiefs’ WR room, JuJu is going to be on the field a lot with the chance for plenty more targets from Patrick Mahomes.
20% - 40% of FAAB.
Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, GB, Week 7 vs HOU
Both WRs returned to the Packers lineup in their big win over Arizona. They combined for over 100 yards and three TDs. Now their WR teammate Dontayvion Wicks is week-to-week with a shoulder injury.
Low-to-Medium priority adds. These are both roster-worthy players with all GB WRs healthy as bench fliers or bye-week options. If Wicks misses a game or games, they would be WR3/Flex options with major upside catching passes from ascending superstar QB Jordan Love.
Watson 5%-15% of FAAB; Doubs 10% or less of FAAB.
Noah Brown, WAS, Week 7 vs CAR
Brown returned from a groin injury to lead the Commanders with eight targets from Jayden Daniels in their loss at Baltimore, finishing with a 4/58 receiving line and running the second-most routes among their receivers after Terry McLaurin.
Low-priority add. The Commanders will continue to rely on their outrageous running game and McLaurin will remain their top passing game option, but I want to stash Brown on my benches to see if he can have more high-target games from one of the rising fantasy superstar QBs.
10% or less of FAAB.
Some additional lower-priority WR adds to consider:
Xavier Legette (CAR) - Continues to play a complementary role to Diontae Johnson, XL caught his second career TD last week.
Josh Downs (IND) - Has caught 24 of 30 targets the past three weeks from Joe Flacco, including a pair of TDs.
Michael Wilson (AZ) - Caught a TD in last week’s loss at GB. Teammate Marvin Harrison Jr. left the game with a concussion.
TE Pickups
Hunter Henry, NE, Week 7 “at JAX” (London)
Henry had 3/41/1 game in QB Drake Maye’s first start. The Jags have given up four TDs to TEs in their last four games.
Low-priority add. Henry (or an option below) can cover Jake Ferguson’s or Cole Kmet’s bye week or cover for an injured or ineffective starter.
5% or less of FAAB.
Some additional lower-priority TE adds to consider:
Zach Ertz (WAS - Has seen 16 targets from rookie phenom Jayden Daniels the past three weeks.
Cade Otton (TB) - Full-time player in one of the top offenses in the league so far. Scored his first TD of the season last week.
DEFENSE (Top pickups for Week 7)
Saints (vs Broncos)
Colts (vs Dolphins)
Bengals (at Browns)
