Fantasy Fallout: Week 10
Fantasy-Centric Analysis of Each Week 10 Game

By: Mike Johnson (Mjohnson86) and Tony Kneepkens (Tonytk44)
Welcome to the Monday edition of the Daily Dose newsletter, our “Fantasy Fallout” day. In this article, you will get a quick rundown of the relevant things we learned from the week’s games from Thursday through Sunday.
We won’t talk about every single player and we usually won’t spend time on studs who go nuts (no one needs to be told to start Jonathan Taylor right now!), but rather, the idea is to update you on usage trends, injuries, and other relevant things to help your decisions with your teams for the coming week and beyond.
RAIDERS @ BRONCOS
The Broncos won an ugly 10-7 TNF game that turned on a blocked punt that they recovered in the red zone. They proceeded to lose two yards and kick the go-ahead field goal at the end of the third quarter.
Bo Nix passed for an underwhelming 150-1-2 line. He threw nearly half of his 28 pass attempts to top WRs Troy Franklin (5-40-1) and Courtland Sutton (3-24).
J.K. Dobbins handled 19 touches for 84 scrimmage yards with RJ Harvey (six touches, 18 yards) handling his change-of-pace role.
Ashton Jeanty had a 60-1 rushing line and saw five targets, the second most on the team. The rookie rusher maintains one of the best RB roles in the league.
Veteran Tyler Lockett paced the Jakobi Meyers-less Raiders in all receiving categories with six targets, catching five passes for 44 yards. Brock Bowers received just three targets, catching one ball for 31 yards. Bowers and Jeanty are the only usable Raiders in most fantasy formats for now.
COLTS @ FALCONS
Jonathan Taylor’s massive day in the Colts’ OT victory in Germany masked another iffy Daniel Jones performance. While Dimes connected well with Tyler Warren (8-99) and Alec Pierce (4-84-1), he took seven sacks, threw a pick, and fumbled three times, losing one. Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs saw just two targets each, combining for three catches for 22 yards.
The Colts have a Week 11 bye and head to Kansas City in Week 12.
Michael Penix Jr. only completed 12 passes, with half of them going to Drake London, including his only passing TD. Tyler Allgeier (11-57-2) scored the rushing TDs this week and has some Flex appeal in good Atlanta matchups. Otherwise London and Bijan are the only reliable Falcons options for now.
RAVENS @ VIKINGS
Baltimore won a somewhat “ugly” game as Minnesota turned the ball over three times and the Ravens were inefficient in the red zone, settling for three field goals of under 30 yards.
Aaron Jones took control of the backfield as he had 15 opportunities compared to only five for Jordan Mason. The Vikings fell to 4-5 on the season and have two games coming up against division rivals. We should expect Jones to be the featured back going forward as Minnesota fights for its season and Jones could be a great trade target for fantasy teams looking to make a playoff push.
The Ravens offense spreads things out so much that only Lamar Jackson, Zay Flowers, and Derrick Henry are strong fantasy starters at the moment.
J.J. McCarthy continues to underwhelm as a passer and struggles with accuracy and holding the ball too long (which is common for young QBs). For the time being, Jordan Addison is a risky start and expectations for Justin Jefferson should be tempered.
BROWNS @ JETS
Jerry Jeudy had his best game of the season against the skeleton-crew Jets secondary and remained the WR1 despite the return of Cedric Tillman. He has some solid matchups coming up and can be a borderline Flex option most weeks.
Browns RB Quinshon Judkins dominated the backfield with 25 opportunities that he turned into 85 scoreless yards. He is a locked-in weekly starter but does carry game-script risk, considering if the Browns fall behind he could put up a dud.
Jets RB Breece Hall had a huge game in a tough on-paper matchup and showed that he should be started every week.
Jets WR Garrett Wilson did not catch a pass in his return from injury. This was caused by the Jets only attempting 11 passes all game thanks to two early D/ST touchdowns that let them control the game script.
GIANTS @ BEARS
Giants QB Jaxson Dart had another great fantasy game but it was brought to a screeching halt by a second-half concussion that puts his status for Week 11 in doubt.
Giants running backs Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary split the work once again and both were somewhat productive in a great matchup. Both will be tough to trust weekly with Russell Wilson under center.
Bears WR Rome Odunze bounced back in a big way with 86 receiving yards and a touchdown on six receptions. He is an every-week starter.
DJ Moore was held without a touch despite being targeted four times. He also left briefly with an injury but was able to return. We should monitor his status heading into Week 11.
Bears RB D’Andre Swift returned and had 13 carries and eight targets compared to only seven rushes and one target for Kyle Monangai, although the game script may have played into that breakdown of the work.
SAINTS @ PANTHERS
Saints WR Chris Olave had a huge game in the first game without Rashid Shaheed on the roster. He is a weekly starter and TE Juwan Johnson should also be a strong weekly consideration, as he will surely see heavy volume in games the Saints trail.
Alvin Kamara had 25 touches for the Saints and his most productive game in quite some time.
Panthers RB Rico Dowdle’s otherworldly efficiency came crashing back to earth this week, as the lack of threat in the passing game allowed the Saints to load the box and suffocate the running lanes.
JAGUARS @ TEXANS
The Jaguars had a classic loss, as they jumped out to an early lead and sat on it, giving up the momentum and letting Houston mount an epic comeback.
Davis Mills had high passing volume due to the game script and helped WR Nico Collins and TE Dalton Schultz to very usable fantasy games.
Jacksonville wide receivers Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers looked good but were held back by a tough matchup and low passing volume.
Houston continues to split its backfield work between veteran Nick Chubb and rookie Woody Marks, the latter which left with a leg injury in the first half but returned and showed no signs of it.
BILLS @ DOLPHINS
The Bills offense was a complete mess for the third time this season, and it is getting quite concerning how inefficient their passing game can be and how bad their run defense is when they are trailing. Luckily for them, Buffalo faces two of the league’s worst rushing offenses (TB and HOU) over the next two weeks.
RB De’Von Achane and WR Jaylen Waddle are the only two players from Miami we can start with confidence, but they are both elite players at their positions.
PATRIOTS @ BUCCANEERS
Drake Maye continued to dominate and kept himself in the MVP conversation with a great performance on the road against a very good defense. WR Stefon Diggs operated as his primary target, with several others chipping in along the way.
Patriots rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson had his breakout game and showed why they selected him with a top-40 pick in April. He has a chance to repeat with a terrific matchup against the Jets next week.
QB Baker Mayfield had a respectable performance as he kept his team in the game despite a complete lack of a running game. Emeka Egbuka, Cade Otton, and Tez Johnson saw the majority of his targets, which should continue to be the case until/unless Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin return to the field.
RAMS @ 49ERS
Davante Adams left the game late with an oblique injury after another solid fantasy performance. Early reports are that he may have returned if necessary, but a situation to monitor.
Kyren Williams and Blake Corum had a near-even split of the Rams’ carries in a game they jumped ahead by a 21-0 score. Williams punched in a pair of TDs and saw all of the receiving work, but both backs saw opportunities in all four quarters.
Matthew Stafford has three straight games with 4+ TD passes and no INTs. He continues to feature his superstar WR duo and four-headed monster (and fantasy headache) at TE. Stafford and the 7-2 Rams have what looks like a fantasy-friendly schedule down the stretch, and assuming Adams’ health, we know where the ball is going here.
Mac Jones completed 33 of 39 passes, throwing 9+ passes to his playmaking trio of CMC, Jauan Jennings, and George Kittle. Jones has proven he can execute this offense well and can keep his playmakers afloat if Brock Purdy continues to miss time with his toe injury.
CARDINALS @ SEAHAWKS
Seattle led by 35 points halfway through the second quarter, including a pair of sack/strip fumble recovery TDs. Sam Darnold attempted just 12 passes and Seattle had 35 RB carries in an outrageous game script.
The other side of the script offered 44 Jacoby Brissett passes, including 25 targets for Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr.
Emari DeMercado had 104 scrimmage yards, including a 55-yard rush and a 34-yard reception. He could be in Flex consideration at home against the 49ers next week depending on Trey Benson’s status.
LIONS @ COMMANDERS
Jameson Williams (6-119-1) for his best game of the year, and all of the key Lions offensive players feasted in their easy win in Washington.
Washington’s three RBs rushed 22 times for 71 yards and a TD but only saw one target in the passing game; none can be trusted in fantasy lineups.
Marcus Mariota was pretty efficient but never had the Commanders within 10 points of the Lions after the first quarter. Deebo Samuel and Zach Ertz led the team with five targets each and look like fantasy starters for now while Terry McLaurin continues to recover from a quad injury.
STEELERS @ CHARGERS
Chargers rookie TE phenom Oronde Gadsden left the game with an apparent knee injury, a concerning development for one of the season’s best fantasy stories and a situation to be monitored.
Kimani Vidal took back control of the LAC backfield, racking up over 100 scrimmage yards and a TD. Ladd McConkey (4-107-1) was the top Chargers’ WR this week and Quentin Johnston (5-42) led the team with 10 targets, his second-highest total of the season.
Aaron Rodgers struggled to a 161-1-2 passing line against a stingy Chargers defense, and he was under the century mark without a TD late into the fourth quarter. No PIT pass catcher topped 35 yards.
Jaylen Warren maintained control of the Steelers RB role, handling 16 of the team’s 20 RB touches and racking up 91 scrimmage yards in the lopsided loss.
